thebluesteye.jpgThe Bluest Eye was writen mostly through the eyes of two young Claudia and Frieda Macteer. We follow mostly through out the story Pecola Breedlove, who for a while lives with the MacTeers. Pecola wants to be loved and accepted, but is instead beaten, bullied, and raped. Her Friends try to help her by doing thigs like planting flowers, but it does not work. Pecola also trys to help herself, but threw an impossible way. She believes she needs blue eyes to be loved, this of course can not happen but she trys anyways through consolting with a "magic man", who instead just uses her for his own advantages. I personaly liked the story/plot, but personaly I did not like the way it was writen. It was writen in stream of conciousness and was hard to get into and understand the transisions, so I personaly will not continue to read Toni Morrison's works. If you are an excellant reader and like stream of conciousness I would recomend this auther and book; if not, then I would not recomend it.
